Another important area of training conducted by the Silesian Park of Medical Technology Kardio-Med Silesia, in cooperation with the WSB Academy. These trainings are dedicated to soldiers/officers performing medical functions (paramedics who have completed a qualified first aid course, medical rescuers, and doctors) as part of enhancing the professional qualifications of these specialist groups in the event of potential threats to the defense of the territory of the Republic of Poland, Polish citizens, or allied units.

In today’s inauguration of the planned training cycle, the following took part:
– Mr Marek Wójcik, the Silesian Voivode,
– Mr Jan Pawluch, representing the Mayor of Zabrze, Ms. Małgorzata Mańka-Szulik,
– Mr Marcin Lis, Vice-Rector of the WSB Academy,
– Prof. Marek Walancik, Director of the Center for Research and Education of Uniformed Services at the WSB Academy,
– Mr Adam Konka, CEO of the Silesian Park of Medical Technology Kardio-Med Silesia,
along with representatives of various uniformed services formations.

The practical scope of the training proposed by Silesian Park of Medical Technology Kardio-Med Silesia includes, among others: abdominal wound management, hemorrhage control, tension pneumothorax decompression, and cricothyrotomy. These are medical procedures that increase the chances of survival for the wounded in conditions of prolonged care for the casualty on the “battlefield,” subsequently allowing for the safe evacuation of the wounded/casualty to higher levels of medical care.
