Telemedicine services for people with implantable high-energy devices

The Silesian Medical Technology Park Kardio-Med Silesia and GABOS SOFTWARE Sp. z o.o. have established cooperation for the implementation of a project co-financed from the funds within the Regional Operational Programme of the Silesian Voivodeship for 2014-2020 of the European Social Fund for the priority axis: IX. Social inclusion for action: 9.2. Accessible and efficient social and health services for sub-measure: 9.2.6 Development of health services.

Main objective of the project: to increase accessibility to high quality health services for 500 people living in the Silesian Voivodeship (especially from medium-sized cities losing socio-economic functions), at risk of social exclusion due to poor health condition caused by heart failure, by introducing telemedicine services and using them in non-hospital conditions from June 2021 to May 2023.

The project will be implemented in the following types of devices: CRT-D (cardiac resynchronization stimulator with the option of cardioversion and defibrillation) and ICD (cardioverter-defibrillator). The product of the project will be the telemonitoring service, allowing to control the condition of patients with heart failure at home, in effect allowing the deinstitutionalization of forms of support for these people and reduction of factors affecting the social exclusion of patients.
