“Regional Observatories Innovation Showroom” in Gliwice

Yesterday, at 14.09.2023, we had the pleasure of participating in the “Regional Observatories Innovation Showroom” event in Gliwice! This unusual and inspiring meeting brought a lot of valuable information and perspectives on the development of our region.

During three sessions, speakers had the opportunity to share very interesting experiences.

Session I was devoted to “Innovative Medical Devices and the Use of Artificial Intelligence,” during which lecture speakers Dariusz Karolak (CEO of Braster S.A.), Aleksandra Deżakowska (CEO of DrPlan) and Zbigniew Nawrat (Creative Director of the Prof. Zbigniew Religa Foundation for Cardiac Surgery Development & Silesian Medical University in Katowice) shared their knowledge and achievements in using AI to improve telemedicine services or administrative processes. The session ended with a discussion between Łukasz Bandała and Prof. Zbigniew Nawrat on “AI – the missing link in the chain of medical services, or but we succeeded with AI”.

Session II was devoted to regulations and services for the medtech industry, where legal regulations as well as tax breaks that can provide funding for innovative projects were discussed.

Meanwhile, in Session III, Paweł Tkaczyk presented in a very intriguing and engaging way the topic “Brand Nooks and Crannies. Things you might not have known, forgotten or overlooked when building your brand,” i.e. marketing in the medtech industry.

During the event, women had the opportunity to have a preventive breast examination using Braster’s innovative device.
