XII International Scientific Conference “HealthTech Innovation Conference”

On 9-10 October, the 12th International Scientific Conference ‘HealthTech Innovation Conference’ will be held at the European Centre for Innovative Health Technologies in Zabrze.

The event will deal extensively with biomedical engineering, bioinformatics, biomechatronics, biomaterials, medical robotics, military technologies, or sports training and rehabilitation planning. The event also includes presentations of innovative projects by speakers of high international standing. In a session dedicated to personalised medicine, the project ‘Biodegradable scaffold for corneal reconstruction using 3D printing and bioprinting’ will be presented by Dr. Dariusz Dobrowolski, M.D., Ph. Dariusz Dobrowolski, who, together with the Silesian Park of Medical Technology Kardio-Med Silesia team, Acellmed – bio-tech innovations for improving health and quality of life, Wrocław University of Life Sciences and the Silesian Medical University in Katowice, is working on regenerating corneal damage induced by chemical, thermal and mechanical burns.

The Silesian Park of Medical Technology Kardio-Med Silesia will have a lecture session dedicated to the wide range of innovative activities carried out at KMS, including those directed at medical devices. The speakers will be:

• Adam Konka, with the lecture “Silesian Park of Medical Technology Kardio-Med Silesia as a leading research and implementation unit in the field of biotechnology, pharmacy, personalised medicine, telemedicine and specialised training”
• Małgorzata Gonsior – Custodian, with a lecture “Medical devices – how to perform the process from the idea to product certification”,
• Marzena Dyhdalewicz, with a lecture “Quality standards for in vitro and in vivo testing of medical devices”,
• Adam Dawidziuk, with a lecture on “Technological trends in medical market: development potential of Polish medical products”,
• Prof. Paweł Buszman, MD, PhD, with a lecture on “From Idea to Commercialisation a Clinician’s Perspective”.
