Dear Sirs,

We are pleased to invite you to participate in this year’s XVI International Symposium CORNEA 2024 dedicated to “Advances in Corneal Disease Diagnosis and Therapy,” which will take place in Katowice, at the “Vienna House Easy by Wyndham” hotel from February 29th to March 2nd, 2024. We especially invite you to the lecture scheduled on February 29th, 2024, by Professor Dariusz Dobrowolski, entitled: “Bio-printing method as a potential innovative approach to obtain a fibrin scaffold for corneal regeneration.” This lecture will present the results of a project conducted jointly by Acellmed (Project Leader), Silesian Park of Medical Technology Kardio -Med Silesia, the University of Environmental and Life Sciences in Wrocław, and the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice titled: “Biodegradable dressing for corneal reconstruction with corneal limbal cells, prepared as part of autologous transplantation, using bio-printing and 3D printing.” The promising research results obtained on large animal models enable us to initiate preparations for conducting clinical trials involving patients in the near future. Additionally, this therapy may find applications in veterinary medicine for treating damaged corneas in dogs, cats, or horses.
