Another important step behind us! Silesian Park of Medical Technology Kardio-Med Silesia, together with Acellmed (Consortium Leader) and Medical University of Silesia, along with European partners, has submitted a proposal to the prestigious Horizon Europe program: HORIZON-HLTH-2024-TOOL-11-02 Bio-printing of living cells for regenerative medicine – a competition dedicated by the EU Commission to the development of bio-printing and 3D printing in regenerative medicine and personalized medicine.

The application submitted by this consortium under the name “Bioprinting of living cells for cornea reconstruction” PRINT4eye, is a continuation of the project “Biodegradable eye patch for corneal reconstruction with corneal limbal cells, prepared as part of autologous transplantation using bio-printing and 3D printing” (RPO 1.2 WSL). The ultimate goal of the PRINT4eye project is to reach the possibility of conducting a phase IIa clinical trial.

We kindly ask for your support and well wishes for the success of this application prepared by our consortium. Obtaining funding from Horizon Europe for this project will enable the establishment of the first GMP Production Facility in Poland and in this part of Europe, focused on the preparation of advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMP) for clinical applications in the field of regenerative medicine and personalized medicine using bio-printing and 3D printing.
